What virtual platform are you using? Will I have to download anything?
We are using Zoom, and no downloads are required.
When will I get a link for the conference?
In the week prior to the conference, we will email a link to the email address you used for registration.
I've never attended a virtual conference. How will I know how to login or find my sessions?
Please click the button for the "Walk Through Video" on the home page of this website.
Where can I get handouts from the presentations?
Handouts are posted on the Conference Info Page of this website as they are received. Not all presentations will offer handouts.
Can I get CEUs and how many? What is the cost?
VSOTA is recognized by the Virginia Board of Psychology as a professional association which can provide continuing education. This means that the Virginia Boards of Psychology, Social Work and Counseling will recognize the continuing educational activities provided by VSOTA.
As part of VSOTA's commitment to providing relevant and quality continuing education and in appreciation of our attendees, there will be no additional fee for a continuing education certificate to document attendance at the 2021 Conference.
The VSOTA Board has approved up to a total of 12 clock hours (1.2 CEUs) for the two-day conference. It is the ethical responsibility of each attendee to accept a certificate only if they attended a workshop and/or conference.
Conference certificates will be emailed following the conclusion of the conference. A separate certificate will be sent to those attending the Ethics presentation, which will provide attendees with specific ethics documentation.
VSOTA will not provide duplicate certificates. It is highly suggested that each attendee keep their certificate and workshop assignments together in the event they need to provide documentation to a licensing or certification board.
Will I get a certificate? How and when?
Conference completion certificates will be emailed to registered conference participants following the conclusion of the conference and completion of the overall conference evaluation.
A link to the evaluation will be emailed to you after the conference. The evaluation will also be available via the virtual conference site. Evaluations must be completed by May 15, 2021.
Participants attending the Ethics presentation will receive a certificate of completion for that session via email following the conference.
